"It takes Two"

Andrews Facebook transition photo
Its a known fact that one of the most difficult parts of loosing weight is consuming a limited calorie diet whilst you friends, parents, partner etc can eat what they wish and still stay sleek and beautiful. I for one have been a victim of this sad burden as most of my friends are slim and tall. My partner however has been a huge blessing in my mission to lose the flab.

When we met 2 1/2 years ago we had both recently gone through a major body change by loosing a few stone in just a few months; this created a common ground for us and gave us lots to talk about. Over the past 30months we have tried endless diets, joined gyms and come to realise that our life has become consumed with talk
about calories, weight and targets....but with little result!

However, something has clicked! Its taken a while to realise that a diet that works for one person may not necessarily be perfect for another. Each person is different; different food demons, different strengths & weaknesses. We were desperate NOT to sacrifice our love of food and eating fine cuisine because this was one of the things that made us happy and gave us a real connection. Andrew has found that using a reliable phone AP to track calories each day has worked wonders for him. On the other hand, I'm on WeightWatchers; a plan rigid enough to tell me WHEN to stop eating. The beauty of both plans is we can basically eat what we wish but there's a cut off point.

Another 3lbs off for me this week, Id consider that a GREAT result! Onwards and downwards (in waist size Hehe).
