I have had many clear outs over the past 6 months what with moving house, loosing weight and generally de-cluttering my life.
My Mum has always been a serious horder and its something she handed down to me. In all fairness my Mum has solved many problems with her inability to throw anything away; last minute birthday presents to distant relatives or a last minute fancy dress party etc.
I LOVE clothes which is no secret to anyone that knows me or reads this blog, one of my big reasons for taking on this challenge is so I can shop where ever I like without worrying about sizes. The clothes I wear reflect my as a an individual and I put a lot of thought into outfits etc. Some items of my wardrobe took months of 'keeping my eyes out' or searching the internet so the though of just throwing them away kills me.
In past months Iv cleared the wardrobes of the clothes from when I was a larger size 26 but I still saved several items thinking "But I love this top!","Ill never find another like it" or "What if I get bigger again and have to buy a new wardrobe?!". It pains me to have to finally get rid of those last few items but Andrew encouraged me to do so lastnight and convinced me it was for the best. The truth is, I cant allow myself to get up to 20stone EVER again, it was awful!
So! as of yesterday evening parts of my old life can be viewed and purchased on E-bay at http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/jollyrodger9999
For any women in a similar situation I would reccommend having a huge clear out....de-clutter the house, declutter the wardrobe and declutter the mind. Plus, every cloud has a silver lining....maybe a few shopping trips will be in order to fill all of those lonely empty gaps in my poor poor wardrobe.
